A CertiHANA licence covers a number of HANA databases (SYSTEMDB and each tenant count separately) on one CertiHANA server. Editions differ in the support agreement and the number of systems, never in capability.

How licensing works
A signed key for your server, activated in a minute
- Install CertiHANA. The console shows the Hardware ID of the server and a prepared licence request under Settings › License.
- Send the request to CERTICONS (one click opens the e-mail). You receive a key file for that Hardware ID and the number of systems you ordered.
- Activate the key in the console or with
certihana license --file key.lic. No internet connection is needed; the key is verified offline. - Thirty days before the end you are reminded in the console and by e-mail. A renewed key replaces the current one without reinstallation.
- Moving to a new server? Ask for a re-issue for the new Hardware ID.
